What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
User Provided Information
The Application obtains the information you provide when you download and register the Application. Registration with us is mandatory in order to be able to use the basic features of the Application.
“Personal Information” means information that alone or when in combination with other information may be used to readily identify, contact, or locate you, such as: name, address, email address, or phone number. We do not consider Personal Information to include information that has been anonymized so that it does not allow a third party to easily identify a specific individual.
We collect Personal Information when you:

- create a profile on our Application; and

Job Seekers. When you create a profile on the Application, you will need to provide Personal Information, such as your name, resume, phone number and email address.

Cookies, Automatic Data Collection, and Related Technologies. Our website collects and stores information that is generated automatically as you use it, including your preferences and anonymous usage statistics.

Cookies are small text files placed in visitors’ computer to store their preferences. You can use your browser to block and delete cookies from your browser. As a job seeker user, when you register with us and use the Application, you generally provide:
1) Basic Personal Information including email, name, phone number, and mailing address.
2) Relevant resume information including employment history, skills, and educational history.
Basic Personal Information and relevant resume information are used to create a downloadable resume pdf document for job seekers that job seekers can elect to send to companies. Basic identification information and relevant resume information is also used when a job seeker applies for a job through the Application. This data is sent to the third-party applicant tracking software that the company that advertises the job uses to intake inbound job applicants.
3) Demographic information including racial identification, veteran status, disability status, gender identification, and LGBTQ status. This information input is optional and is not required to use any of the features of the Application.
Demographic information is never sent to third-party applicant tracking software. Individual demographic information is confidential and is never sent to recruiter users or other job seeker users. Demographic information may be used in aggregate to provide recruiters with data about the overall demographics of their applicant pool or the overall demographics of the ScoutSavvy user base, by nation, region, state, or city. Demographic data in aggregate may to used to help companies that use the Application comply with federal and state Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action record keeping, reporting, and other legal requirements.
4) Benefit preference information.
Benefit preference information is used to help the Application identify and surface jobs that are likely to provide these preferred benefits.
5) Company work style preference information.
Company work style preference information is used to help the Application identify and surface companies that are likely to provide these preferred work styles.
6) Career culture preference information.
Company culture preference information is used to help the Application identify and surface companies that are likely to provide these preferred cultures.
As a recruiter user, when you register with us and use the Application, you generally provide:
1) Basic company information including company name, location, mission, executives, and industry.
Basic company information is used to create a company profile on the Application.
2) Company demographic information in aggregate. This information input is optional and is not required to use any of the features of the Application.
Company demographicinformation is used to display the overall percentage breakdown of gender identification and racial identification of the entire employee pool at a company.
3) Job description information including job responsibilities, qualifications, general company benefits, required skills, nice to have skills, and other information that is found in a typical job description.
Job description information is used to create a job description on the Application.
4) Company culture information.
Company culture information is used to help the Application identify and surface companies that are likely to provide these preferred cultures to job seekers.
5) Recruiter name and email.
Recruiter name and email is used to contact job seekers.
6) Third party Applicant Tracking System information.
Third party Applicant Tracking System information is used to integrate with the
Application and share job application data between the Application and the third party.
We may also use the information you provided us to contact your from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.
We may use aggregate information for any purpose, including for marketing purposes.
Internal and Service-Related Usage. We use information, including Personal Information, for internal and service-related purposes and may provide it to third parties to allow us to facilitate our website. We may use and retain any data we collect to provide and improve our services.
Communications. We may send email to the email address you provide to us to verify your account and for informational and operational purposes, such as account management, customer service, or system maintenance.
Marketing. We may use your Personal Information and data collected through cookies and similar technology for our advertising or marketing purposes including on other websites or media, and we may communicate with you to provide you with information we think may be of interest to you.
Aggregate Data. We may anonymize and aggregate data collected through our website and use it for any purpose.
Automatically Collected Information
In addition, the Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile devices unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use the Application.
Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?
Yes. We will share your information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.
We may disclose User Provided Information, Personal Information, and Automatically Collected Information:

We do not rent, sell, or share Personal Information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies for their direct marketing purposes.
We may share information collected by cookies and similar technology with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Wo do share User Provided Information, Personal Information, and Automatically Collected Information with Employers. When you choose to apply for a job through our website and / or Application, we may share any information you provide during the application process, excluding personally identifiable demographic data, with the company that posted the opening you applied for.
We Use Vendors and Service Providers. We may share any information we receive with vendors and service providers retained in connection with the provision of our website and /or Application.
Social Networking and Other Websites. Our website and / or Application may allow you to post information to social networking websites, such as sharing a job listing. We do not share your information with them unless you direct our website to share it. Their use of the information will be governed by their privacy policies, and we do not control their use of the shared data.
Automatic Data Collection and Advertising
We may work with analytics companies to help us understand how the Application is being used, such as the frequency and duration of usage. If you’d like to opt-out from third party use of this type of information to help serve targeted advertising, please visit the section entitled “Opt-out” below.
What are my opt-out rights?
You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network. Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information
We will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. We will retain Automatically Collected information for up to 24 months and thereafter may store it in aggregate. If you’d like us to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will respond in a reasonable time. Please note that some or all of the User Provided Data may be required in order for the Application to function properly.
We do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 18. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she should contact us at email@example.com. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.
